Scorpions are animals that form the namesake order of arthropods and belong to the class of arachnids.
Scorpions have very thick claws and a thin metasoma.
Morphologically, they are very easily recognized and can reach 11 cm in length.

They feed mainly on insects, spiders and other arthropods. During the day, scorpions remain under stones, pieces of wood, organic residues, underground nests or tree hollows. Sometimes they are also found in homes, under furniture, inside shoes, drawers, etc.

At night, they come out of their shelter in search of food and companions for the breeding of the species. Scorpions are considered dangerous to humans, especially to children and the elderly, as they carry venom.

Symptoms reported after scorpion sting are nausea, vomiting and sweating.

Small scorpions with thin tentacles are considered the most dangerous.
